How should I prepare my digital files and what formats do you accept?
File Types: We accept Jpeg, Tiff, PNG and PSD files.
File Size: The maximum file size that can be uploaded is 100MB. If your file is larger please upload directly to our dropbox link, click here then send us an email or give us a call to discuss the details of your project. There are many ways to reduce your file size to below 100MB and still maintain a quality resolution.
Resolution: This is the question we receive the most regarding files. We understand you spent time creating the perfect file and you want to make sure the final print comes out the absolute best it can be. The minimum dpi we can receive to achieve the highest results is 150ppi at the size that you want to order. The easiest way to find out how large can you go with your existing image is to look at the pixels. You simply divide the number of pixels, by 150 (the required ppi) = the largest dimensions available without loosing resolution of your file.
For example, a 3600x5400 pixel image, divided by 150, equals24x36". This is the max size we can print at full resolution. We can achieve perfect resolution with 150ppi files. We have done comparative tests with 150, vs 300 vs 600ppi files. There is absolutely no difference in final output, which we print at 1400x2400dpi.
Color Space: Make sure your image is RGB and in the Adobe RGB 1998 work space. (Adobe Photoshop: go to Edit/Color Settings) Then when you save your tiff or jpeg check the box that asks to "embed profile".
*** We look at every image before printing, if we think your file won't reproduce well we will let you know before printing.
